Main Stopcock

Member

Most of my neighbours have a main stopcock in the pavement outside their house. I have one that requires a piece of equipment to turn off the water. It can't be done by hand. How do I ask for a new stopcock? Thanks in advance for information.

Hi Queby, sorry for the late response!
I'm afraid we will only replace one of our stopcocks if we find that it is no longer functioning. The piece of equipment you are referring to is a 'stop valve key', if you are in need of a new one you can purchase one at a hardware store, or if you contact us on Twitter or Facebook we can get one sent to you.

Hope this helps!

We have a broken stopcock in the house, and need to turn off the water outside the house. Trouble is we cant find the outside stopcock, all the neighbours have one, apart from us. Thames Water say they cant help us either, as they dont know where all the stopcocks are. Bit of a nightmare to be honest.
